New Online License Renewal for Perpetual Care Fund Activity and Certificate of Authority

The Texas Department of Banking is pleased to announce a new
online service that will allow certificate holders to renew their
Perpetual Care Fund Activity and Certificate of Authority.
In an effort to enhance the Department’s services, this online
process brings the benefits of e-government to certificate holders,
while reducing the paper burden placed on them at renewal.
Certificate holders will receive login information to begin using
the new online renewal
service. Licensees will be guided, step-by-step,
through the renewal process by asking the same questions as stated
on the traditional mail-in renewal application. Certificate holders
who prefer to continue to complete and submit the Annual Renewal
Form via U.S. mail may continue to do so.
The Department believes this initiative
will improve processing times and provide certificate holders with
a convenient way to renew every year. By late spring 2012, the
online renewal service will be expanded to include all prepaid
funeral contract permit holders and money service businesses.
