Statewide Train-the-Trainer Financial Education Workshops

Notice of Date Change: The Lubbock workshop has been rescheduled to November 4, 2009.

The Texas Department of Banking will be hosting statewide Train-the-Trainer workshops. The goal of these one-day workshops is to provide hands-on training on three financial education curriculums: the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’s “Building Wealth”, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s “Money Smart Program”, and Junior Achievement. The target audience includes: financial institutions, teachers, government agencies, non-profit organizations and community leaders who are committed to or are interested in providing consumer education and improving financial literacy in their communities. Cost is $75 per participant, which includes: financial literacy materials, breakfast and lunch. Rooms are available at $85 per night. To secure a room at this rate, request the Department of Banking room block.  Seating is limited, so be sure to register early to reserve your place. Please RSVP by completing a Financial Education Workshop Registration Form.
