Check Verification Entities
Effective March 1, 2008, Check Verification Entities (CVEs) will be eligible to receive information from the Department through its secure web portal. In order to access the portal CVEs must register with the Department pursuant to Section 11.309 and Chapter 35 of Title 7, Texas Administrative Code. The CVE application consists of the registration form. Responses to all questions must be provided. Indicate if the answer is “None” or “Not Applicable.” Failure to submit all of the required information may result in the return of the application. A non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 is required at the time of submission of the application. Checks should be made payable to the Texas Department of Banking. Failure to submit the required fee will result in the return of the application. Additionally, the application will be returned if it is not signed. Information submitted in connection with the application may be subject to disclosure under the Open Records Act. Confidential information should be clearly marked when submitted. Submit the application and the fee to the following address: Texas Department of Banking Direct any questions to the Director of Corporate Activities.
